Pork Bánh Mì
SERVINGS
INGREDIENTS
6 Breadtown Bakery Traditional 12-inch Hoagies (241139), sliced and lightly toasted
3 Tbsp. Low-sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp. Honey or maple syrup
1 Tbsp. Fish sauce
1 Tbsp. Garlic, minced
1/2 Tsp. Black pepper
2 lbs. Pork tenderloin or pork shoulder, thinly sliced
1/3 cup Rice vinegar
1 Tbsp. Granulated sugar
1/2 Tsp. Kosher salt
1 cup Daikon radish, julienned
1 cup Matchstick carrots
1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
1/4 cup Spicy mayonnaise
1 English cucumber, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped fresh Cilantro leaves
INSTRUCTIONS
Whisk together soy sauce, honey, fi sh sauce, garlic and pepper in a bowl. Add sliced pork and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Combine rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Add daikon and carrots and toss to coat. Let sit for at least 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook until caramelized and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Lightly coat each hoagie with spicy mayonnaise. Top rolls with pork, pickled vegetables, cucumber slices and cilantro. Serve and enjoy.
