Classic Patty Melts

INGREDIENTS

  1. 12 slices Breadtown Bakery Texas Toast, lightly toasted (241250)
  2. 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  3. 1/4 cup Ketchup
  4. 6, 1/4 lb. Beef burger patties
  5. 2 Tsp. Kosher salt
  6. 1 Tsp. Black pepper
  7. 6 slices American cheese
  8. 3 Large tomatoes, sliced
  9. 1 1/2 cups Shredded lettuce
  10. Shoestring fries, for serving
  11. 6 Kosher dill pickle spears, for serving

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Stir together mayonnaise and ketchup in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Season burger patties with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add patties in batches and cook to desired doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Spread mayonnaise mixture over each slice of Texas toast. Top half with a burger patty, a slice of cheese, 2 slices of tomato, shredded lettuce and top slice of bread.
  4. Serve with fries and a pickle spear.
