Southern Style Poutine

This Southern twist on a French-Canadian classic features crispy fries covered in gravy and topped with cheese curds, popcorn chicken, and chopped bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Pioneer® Southern Style Brown Gravy Mix (233428), prepared
  • 1 bag Pioneer® Pre-Dip Batter Mix (216558), prepared
  • 1 bag Pioneer® Spicy Texas-Style Premium Batter and Breading Mix (216556)
  • French fries
  • Cheese curds
  • Bacon, cooked, chopped
  • Chicken, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Green onions

Instructions

  • Dip chicken into the pre-dip and then coat immediately with Pioneer® Spicy Texas-Style Premium Batter and Breading Mix. Deep fry until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • For each order, place prepared French fries (extra crispy recommended) onto a serving dish.
  • Top with 2 to 4 oz. of prepared gravy.
  • Top with popcorn chicken, bacon, and cheese curds.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions.
